Volunteering

Goscote Greenacres Community Garden is transitioning to a fully voluntary organization, creating new opportunities for individuals to give back, learn skills, and connect with others.

As funding decreases, we rely on earned income to develop the site and achieve our vision. Volunteering offers personal fulfillment, boosts mental well-being, and strengthens community bonds. Volunteer Roles

Garden Maintenance

Goscote Greenacres is not a small site! There is a lot of work just in the upkeep of the site and we have plans to improve both the look and scope of activity we deliver.

Mowing, painting, building and other activities are all available. People with skills or without a trade will always be welcome.

Growing

We are currently working all out to maintain and grow on plants for our May Bank Holiday Plant Sale. We would welcome any help in ensuring the plants are the best they can be.

However, we are looking to expand our range, species and season across the year to assist with our income generation aims moving forward.

Events Management

With our first event of our new era just around the corner, we are still looking at what we could possibly deliver on the day.

Tea pourers, cake bakers, stall holders or parking stewards, if you can help then please let us know.

Administration

Currently being run solely by volunteers, we are still working through paperwork, management of the site and the intricacies of the funding targets we are required to achieve.

Additionally, we still have a position on the board we would like to fill.

we would love to have you on board.

Future Roles

Although we are right at the beginning of our new journey, we realise that the Board of Trustees cannot take on all of tasks the keep the place running or development of the site moving forward.

With this in mind we are considering the development of a number of teams and sub-committees.

Fund Raising

We welcome help from anyone who may be able to assist us with raising funds and donations for the site.
